Ft. Walton YC Fort Walton Yacht Club

The Fort Walton Yacht Club is currently open and offering members food and beverages at 50 % of capacity Indoors. We have added additional outside seating to make up for the limited seating inside of the club. There is no service directly from the bar and no barstools are allowed. We have adjusted our club hours so that full food service is always available, allowing us to serve drinks to our members whenever the club is open.

We are not offering reciprocity to other clubs and not allowing transient quests for the time being.

Members and their guest must wear a mask when entering the club and can remove once they are seated at a table. Only employees are required to wear a mask for outside service.

We have fortunate enough that no employees have tested positive for COVID-19 and only three members have direct exposure. We sanitize all areas of the club each day and just this week starting using normal plates and Silver. We had been serving on disposable plates, utensils and cups since the original shutdown.

FWYC is blessed to have retained all its staff during these difficult times. We did not qualify for PPP Loans and did not take out any SBA Disaster Relief Loans and we are coming out of this in a very healthy financial condition. 08/29/2020

Halifax River YC

Halifax River YC:
New HRYC is currently operating in a members only mode for both dining and dockage. We still have a limited social schedule including the infamous Pirate Party which was successfully held on September 12th. Many members also participated in a Trump boat parade that reportedly included 2000 registrants. We’re trying to maintain our reputation as the friendliest club on the East Coast while adhering to best safety practices. Please call for the latest updates. 9/14/2020

Pelican Isle YC
Pensacola YC Pensacola YC:
We took a good hit over here, most marinas are destroyed. Power grid compromised with multiple trees over powerlines everywhere. Crews are working, for sure this will not be as long as it took during Ivan, but we have challenges. Pensacola Bay bridge was hit in multiple areas by commercial barges that broke loose, should be estimate 3 to 5 months before that is operational. Garson point bridge reportedly also took another hit meaning department of transportation has Their work cut out for them to re-certify that bridge. Currently now, residents of Pensacola Beach and Gulf breeze will have to go to Navarre to be able to get across the bay. Pensacola Yacht Club main building did well however, However our sailing directors office, and opti shed were completely destroyed. Tornado picked up the large shed and deposited it 50 yards away after flying over our ballroom. We have numbers of the optis, dollies, and lasers strewn about a 2 acre area in our grounds. Marina did well under the onslaught, but we have several boats on the bottom, and several pushed far up on the hard, including a 41 foot sailboat that is now resting uphill from the hoist. We have seven large oak trees down across the property, and are all beginning to clean up today. We should be OK, as the main clubhouse took very little damage. 09/17/2020
Royal Palm Y&CC

Royal Palm Y&CC:

Today, August 13, 2020, Royal Palm Yacht and Country Club began the start of the re-construction of D and E docks. Due to the delay of the required permits, the construction has been on a 2- month delay. The now estimated completion date, baring no weather or Covid-19 delays, is mid- November 2020. The marina will remain closed until that time to all boaters except those currently assigned member slips.

The entire club remains closed to all guests, including reciprocity until further notice. Limited access by members are still in force.  08/13/2020
